Check JAMB Admission Status on CAPS

The JAMB CAPS (Central Admission Processing System) is an official portal on the JAMB website that is used by JAMBites to accept or reject admissions into the university level.

NOTE: If you do not accept your admission after period of three (3) days from the day it was given, the system might revoke the admission, so it is important that candidates keep a close watch on the CAPS portal.

To check your admission status on JAMB CAPS simply follow the following steps.

STEPS:

1. Open your favorite browser and enter the official JAMB website address web address or click on this link: www.jamb.org.ng 

2. On the JAMB official website, click on "Create e-Facility Account/Log in". You will be redirected to a new page which is the login page.

3. On the Login page,  enter the email address that you used during JAMB registration.
4. Enter the password you used to open the JAMB account during registration, if you do not know or cannot remember the password, you will be unable to login. To recover your JAMB password, click here to know how it can be done.
5. After filling in your correct email and password, click on the Login button. 

6. On successful login, you will be redirected to your account dashboard. Scroll down to where you have Check Admission Status either on the side-navigation panel/Menu or on the dashboard panel. Click on "Check Admission Status" after which a new page will load for you to input your JAMB Registration/Examination Number and Year of Examination.

7. When the page loads, input your JAMB Registration/Examination Number and Year of Examination, make sure the examination year is correct (this should be the year in which you registered and wrote the examination).

8. After performing the above steps, click on "Access my CAPS". You will be redirected to JAMB CAPS portal.

9.  On the JAMB CAPS portal, click on "Admission Status" from the side-navigation/Menu.You should see your name appear along side some other information.

10. Ensure that the name that is displayed on the top left-hand side of the screen (in the side-navigation panel/menu) is your name, if its not your name, simply refresh the page.
11. If you have been given admission, Click on "Accept Admission". If for any reason you do not want the admission, you can click on "Reject Admission" (Make sure you think well before performing this action).
